Gillian Keegan MP: Can my hon. Friend tell me whether poverty has risen or fallen since 2010?
Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Will Quince MP: I thank my hon. Friend for that question. The Government remain committed to tackling poverty so that we can make a lasting difference to long-term outcomes. I am pleased to say that the Government have lifted 400,000 people out of absolute poverty since 2010, and income inequality has fallen.
