Earlier this week, Gillian met with Trevor Beattie, the CEO of the South Downs National Park Authority, to make clear that the works on North Street need to take place at pace and get started now. Following that meeting, Gillian is now building a case for us to explore any potential sources of additional funding for Midhurst, as part of her forthcoming meeting with Michael Gove.
As part of making that case, it’s critical that we paint a true picture of just how disruptive these closures have been for Midhurst’s high street. For that reason, a number of businesses will shortly be receiving an invitation in the post to share more information on their experience in recent weeks, and Gillian would be really grateful for your help.
Gillian is hoping to hear from some of you soon but in the meantime, she'll keep fighting to get Midhurst moving again.
