This week (14th - 20th November) is UK Parliament Week!
UK Parliament Week is an annual event and a great opportunity to learn what MPs do and how children and young people can get involved in our democracy. Gillian wrote to all schools in the constituency to encourage them to sign up and it is positive that so many schools and other organisations such as the Brownies and the Scouts will be taking part this year. Pupils will be celebrating and learning more about Parliament by holding mock Parliamentary debates, mock elections and creating petitions about the issues they care about.
To celebrate, Gillian answered questions from children and young people from across the constituency about her life as an MP and how Parliament works.
