Over the past five weeks, Gillian has been meeting with members of Chichester District Council, West Sussex County Council and the South Downs National Park Authority to explore our options to open up North Street and get Midhurst moving again.
Gillian is pleased to announce that a breakthrough has been made!
Using its special statutory powers, the SDNPA has now agreed to step in and secure the front of the Angel Inn, ultimately allowing North Street to reopen to vehicles. Preparatory work to get this underway is already being looked at.
his is a fantastic result, which Gillian knows will be a huge relief to the Midhurst business community. Thank you to everyone who has helped us find a solution!
