On Thursday 1st November Gillian Keegan MP and her Parliamentary team joined members of the armed services in Westminster tube station to sell poppies on behalf of the Royal British Legion. Whilst in the station the Chichester MP bumped into the 12th Regiment Royal Artillery based at Thorney Island who were just some of the many service personnel who descended on the capital to raise funds for the poppy appeal.
The MP for Chichester invited a few of the volunteers into the House of Commons to gather donations from other MPs and Parliamentary guests. This year the Royal British Legion were aiming to raise £1million in London alone on the 1st November.
