- Great performances and music broadcast live by local radio.
- Delicious street food vendors.
- In-store events, activities and special offers from many of our high street businesses’
- Deck chairs situated around the city for the chance to relax and soak up the party atmosphere
Councillor Alan Sutton, Cabinet Member for Housing Communications, Licensing and Events: “It’s vital that we support our local High Streets, especially in the current financial climate, as restrictions come to end we can all do our part to help our highstreets recover and make our city centre a fun place to visit
“Chichester has so much to offer, from unique and independent stores, through to major brands – and all within a historic and vibrant setting.
“This council-led event will encourage people to visit Chichester and enjoy everything it has to offer. Everyone will be able to meander through the shops, many of which are opening late especially for the occasion, and enjoy in-store activities. They can also relax on deckchairs, or enjoy street food from a host of vendors, who will be offering a range of cuisines from around the world. There will also be plenty of activities for children to enjoy, including a carousel. We want to encourage as many people as possible to come and enjoy this fantastic event.
“While the Government is planning to end restrictions on July 19 it is important that we remain mindful of the Covid virus. If you are displaying symptoms please self-isolate and be mindful of others. Let’s enjoy this wonderful event without putting others at risk.
“There are a host of other events ongoing in our district over summer as well, people can find out more through our events page on our website here: https://www.chichester.gov.uk/whatson
“After the year everyone’s had, we know that events are a key way to help our community and economy recover from the pandemic. Everyone who attends will have a wonderful time”
