In accordance with the decision of the Lord Chancellor and following agreement on alternative provision agreements to be established in Chichester, Chichester County and Crown Court will close and cease to provide a public service from 21 December 2018. From 21 December 2018 the administration of all Chichester cases will transfer to9 the Worthing County Court at the Law Courts, Christchurch Road, Worthing, BN11 1JD.
Hearing Provision has been secured at the Chichester District Council premises at East Pallant House, Chichester, PO19 1TY, providing some local hearing capacity following the courts closure.
The site has undergone testing and further test dates have been arranged during September 2018 to enable it to be used for appropriate hearings from January 2019.
