Gillian with police officer on a speed prevention day

Gillian is working with Sussex Police, and local councillors to tackle dangerous driving.

As Chichester's MP Gillian is a member of a new taskforce designed to bring together every level of Government to stop antisocial and dangerous driving across the area - particularly focus on motorcycles.

Gillian has regular calls with the Chief of Police, Jo Shiner, Police and Crime Commissioner, Katy Bourne and District Commander, John Carter where she discusses these issues.

Second taskforce meeting goes ahead

The Antisocial Driving Taskforce met again to offer updates on their work to date. Many of the PCs on the group had successfully established speed watch groups and/or expanded their existing ones.

Chichester MP raises concerns with Police Chief

Following the inaugural meeting of the new taskforce, Gillian raised her concerns with Chief Constable, Giles York and our Police and Crime Commissioner, Katy Bourne. Gillian shared also expressed the concern of Parish Councillors who attended the initial meeting.
