This morning Gillian Keegan MP went to St Pancras Church in Chichester to meet some of the estimated 80 people who sleep rough in the city. The church hosts a cooked breakfast every Monday morning organised by Tom Mawes and Canon Mark Payne.
I recently led the evidence session on the state of mental health in our prisons as part of my role on the Public Accounts Committee. This required a fair bit of research as I knew nothing about our prisons and, like most people, had never even been inside one.
Gillian Keegan MP slept rough on the Cathedral Green in Chichester to raise money and awareness for homelessness. Gillian raised £500 for the Stonepillow a charity that provides key services for homeless people in Chichester and Bognor.
